Frequently Asked Questions
THCA flower, or THCA hemp, refers to cannabis buds that contain a high amount of THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) and a very low amount of delta-9 THC. THCA hemp flower is very similar to THCA weed you’d purchase at a medical marijuana dispensary in a recreational state. However, THCA flower is federally legal under the Hemp Farm Bill.
According to the Hemp Farm Bill, cannabis flower with less than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dried weight is considered hemp.
In its raw form, THCA flower is not psychoactive. When it is heated up, THCA turns into psychoactive delta-9 THC.
THCA weed in a dispensary might have 30% THCA and 3% delta-9 THC. THCA hemp could also have 30% THCA and only .3% delta-9. If you’re smoking it, there’s no difference between THCA weed and THCA hemp. Legally, there’s a difference!
Under the Hemp Farm Bill, adults age 21+ can legally purchase high THCA hemp flower online and have it conveniently delivered to their door. Shop our selection of top shelf THCA flower and get delivery at the highest standard!
THCA (or THC-acid) is a chemical compound found in raw cannabis. When THCA goes through a process called decarboxylation, it turns into THC, which is psychoactive and can make you feel high.
However, in its raw form, THCA is not psychoactive. That means that if you don’t heat up THCA and you consume it raw, THCA won’t make you feel high.
As cannabis buds grow, the sun’s heat naturally changes some THCA into THC through decarboxylation. When the buds are harvested and dried, the moisture evaporates, causing even more THCA to turn into THC.
All raw cannabis has a lot more THCA than THC. Even cannabis sold in medical dispensaries contains mostly THCA. That’s why eating raw cannabis won’t make you high. To feel the psychoactive effects, you need to heat the THCA, which decarboxylates it and turns it into THC.
To create a smokable flower that stays legal, our THCA hemp flower is cured using a special method called the “cold cure.” This process happens in a fridge, which stops THCA from turning into THC. Because of this, the flower buds keep their THC levels low enough to be legally classified as THCA hemp under federal law.
